Sr GIS Application Developer

 

Job Description

 

As our GIS Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom Web based GIS solutions following our product-based methodology; developing and executing the software modules and managing personal efforts for timely delivery of assigned tasks. Tasks are largely on ArcGIS Server 9.3.X technologies with.NET, C#, IIS - web based customizations and/or add-on's to our current products, but can also include software installation and/or troubleshooting, MSSQL Database configurations, and programming in other languages such as VB.NET, C++ and flex APIs.

You will work both independently or as part of a project team, traveling to clients if required, communicating by telephone or e-mail.

 

Required Skills / expertise

·          Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

·          Strong conceptual and analytical skills

·          Results focused and ability to deliver tasks to closure

·          Experience with web content development including implementing solutions on IIS.

·          Good knowledge and experience in the complete Software Development Project Life Cycle.

·          Demonstrated problem solving skills

Minimum Technical Skill Requirement

·          Must have experience with latest ArcGIS family of products ArcObjects, ArcEngine, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and ESRI’s ArcGIS Server 9.x. GeoDatabase Design.

·          5-7 Years of programming experience in with .NET, C#, IIS, Ms Visual Studio, MSSQL, PLSQL

·          Experience with HTML, XML, Java Script, ASP.NET, XSL, JAVA Applets, CSS, IIS and Web Services, AJAX

·          Experience in SQL Server and MS Access, MS-Access 97/2000.

·          Must have working experience in Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95/98/2000/XP, Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0/5.0, Visual Studio 2003, Visual Studio 6, Windows Mobile.

·          Experience in VSS, Outlook, MS Office, Frontpage, Adobe Photoshop.

Desirable Skills

·          Experience in ArcGIS Server Flex API Development

·          Experience in ArcSDE API

·          Experience in GPS and Mobile Solution Technologies

·          Knowledge of SCADA, Billing Systems, ERP, CRM.


Project Engineer / Hydraulic Modeler


About the Position:

The Project Engineer focus is to work with the creation, development, calibration, analyses, and project management of hydraulic models, both water & sewer, at a minimum. This is an environment where performance, teamwork, client -focus, and a solution-based approach are consistently recognized. Qualification / Technical Skills:

·          Familiarity with hydraulics and planning water and/ or wastewater systems

·          Familiarity with the MWH Soft and/ or Bentley Systems-Haestad Methods suite of modeling     software and/ or familiarity with other related commercially available software packages     (see website/ About/ Toolbox for overview)

·          familiarity with AutoCAD and/ or Acad Map

·          familiarity with ESRIs Arc GIS and Extensions

·          Professional Engineer License (PE) desired, but not require

Project Manager  - GIS


Job Description

This position involves working in a team environment creating high quality data, maps, and charts. Responsibilities include managing complex GIS & GPS projects from Cities and Water Districts and working with our production team in Bangalore, India.
