IT Team Lead/Manager


RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPERIENCE

A hands on IT Team Lead/Manager
Provides technical leadership necessary to develop and design GIS systems and      components.
  Assists lead and management in hiring and committing resources and reviewing the work      of others.
   Interfaces with solutions providers, internal staff, and consultants to provide development      direction and design to allow integration with other applications, systems and databases.
  Works with business analysts, architects, and other members of a project team to develop      the system concept, interface design, and architecture of the system.
  Provides leadership for the resolution of complex problems in support of implementation      plans, this requires strong analytical ability.
  Must be able to lead a 10 member software development team on-shore and off-shore to      plan, estimate, schedule and implement programming tasks.
   Performs Systems testing to ensure the quality of the code produced.
   Creates and/or directs installation artifacts for all work done.
   Develop and maintain documentation (technical) as needed.
   Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department.
   Uses some independent judgment to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  In-depth GIS application and industry knowledge, customization, interpersonal, writing,      decision making ability, client focus.
  Provides primary and/or backup support for systems or sub-systems. This may include      on-call or after-hours support as required.
   Effectively uses programming tools to assist in application development.
   Supports and adheres to defined standards, practices and procedures.
  Hands on working experience with Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems and      must manage a small LAN with 20 computers and 3 printers.
Must be able to develop Microsoft Windows .NET Applications and ASP.NET Web      Applications.
Experience in developing GIS Applications using ESRI’s ArcObjects Runtime Engine,      ArcGIS Server and ArcIMS Server.
Knowledge on installing and configuring ArcIMS Server, ArcSDE Server and ArcGIS      Server.
  In depth knowledge in Visual C#.NET, must be able to debug and troubleshoot existing      Windows and Web applications.
   Troubleshoot GIS related issues regarding Map Projections, Data related issues.
   Must have experience using Microsoft Products like Access, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
   Must have experience using ArcPAD and GPS Trimble Devices.
   Experience in Microsoft SQL Server is a must.
   Must be able to do GIS Database Design and Model the correct GIS features to the right       GIS feature type. Should be able to handle Database Design in MS Access and/or SQL       Server.
  Maintaining good client relationship and willing to travel to client’s site and resolve       software related issues.
   Good communication skills including presentation skills.
   Minimum of a BS/BE degree.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of – experience with:

   SharePoint Setup and use.
   Oracle Database experience.
   Team Foundation Server experience.
   Network design, reliability and security.
   CMM, ISO, ITIL.
   PMP Certification.


Project Manager  - GIS


Job Description

This position involves working in a team environment creating high quality data, maps, and charts. Responsibilities include managing complex GIS & GPS projects from Cities and Water Districts and working with our production team in Bangalore, India.

Job Requirements
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Science, or a related field, strong organizational and analytical skills, and close attention to detail.
