Michael Samuel, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Samuel graduated with a B.S. degree in engineering with honors from the
University of Madras, India. He has over 27 years professional experience,
spending the past 10 years working in the GIS industry. Michael founded Nobel
Systems in 1992 and has helped the company grow significantly over the last 4
years. Michael Samuel was honored as a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the
Year of the Inland Empire in November, 2003.
Audrey Samuel, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Samuel has over 10 years experience in managing the accounting and finance
department within Nobel Systems, which includes the day-to-day management of
the accounting functions and systems.
Ronald R. Butcher, COO & Vice President – Business Solutions
Mr. Butcher comes to Nobel Systems with over 17 years of applying GIS
solutions in Public Utilities, Public Works, Local Government, Aviation
and Military, and the private sector. His expertise includes business
process re-engineering and analysis, workflow studies to integrate GIS
with asset management systems and computerized maintenance management
systems, and applying technology creatively to develop innovative systems
so that our clients can better manage their enterprise infrastructure and
assets. Mr. Butcher has delivered enterprise GIS solutions across the U.S. and Asia.
Mr. Butcher graduated from The University of Dayton with a
Master in Business Administration (MBA). Prior, he received
a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Park University
in Missouri. Mr. Butcher also is a certified GIS surveyor (GISS)
for the state of South Carolina and a certified GIS professional (GISP) from URISA.
Dimitris Poulakidas, Ph.D., Director – Transportation and Land Planning
Mr. Poulakidas graduated with a Ph.D. and a Masters (MCP) in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. He also holds a five-year professional B.S. degree in Planning and Regional Development from the University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece.
Mr. Poulakidas has over 13 years experience in the field of Urban Planning with focus on Land Use and Transportation Planning, Transportation Modeling, Policy Analysis, Planning Methods and GIS. His research and professional work has emphasized the development of state-of-the-art Integrated Land Use and Transportation Models, and GIS Planning Tools to support decision making through scenario exploration. Mr. Poulakidas has extensive international planning experience working for projects in the US, Europe, South America, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and several other Asian countries.
G.R. Venkatesh,
Managing Director - Nobel Systems' India Office
Mr. Venkatesh has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of
Madras, India and M.S. in Geo-Informatics from the International Institute of
Aerospace Survey and Earth Sciences, Netherlands. He has over 28 years of
professional experience in mapping, surveying, and photogrammetry. He worked
for the Survey of India and established the photogrammetric department for the
National Survey Authority of Oman.
