PrintWorks is a series of tools that are embedded into ArcMap that allow the user to quickly and easily produce high quality Atlas Maps from the GIS data set. The system is configured to bring in the specific layers, symbology, and annotation that the user desires as well as specific border, title block and other requirements. From thereon the process of printing entire atlas books or individual pages is reduced to a few keystrokes and mouse clicks.

Users can also choose to export attribute data for features on each page so that this data can be included on the facing page in the atlas book if desired. Multiple printing options are provided although the generation of PDF documents for printing is the preferred method of most users.
