Breaking the Bias: Supporting Women in Technology

In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating our women worldwide and our team members in the U.S., Philippines, and India!

The United Nations declared March 8th as International Women’s Day in 1977. The day has since been a time to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about gender equality, and advocate for women’s rights. We stand with the U.N. to support gender equality and empower women globally.

Women bring diverse perspectives, skills, work styles, and leadership to companies like ours. Nobel Systems is proud that a large percentage of our teams in the U.S., India, and the Philippines are women — making it possible to share insights, ideas, and experiences across the globe!

Breaking the Bias

Women are underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. As a result, the global economy loses out on a critical resource contributing to economic development. Breaking the bias is vital to building an inclusive culture.

The theme this year is Breaking the Bias. Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. However, knowing that bias exists isn’t enough. Action is needed to level the playing field.

We are committed to supporting women in technology at Nobel Systems through mentorship programs, training opportunities, and an inclusive culture.

“It’s not only important that we raise awareness but also take action,” said Nobel Systems President Michael Samuel. “This day helps you recognize what else you can do to support women in the workplace: mentor them, sponsor them, encourage them and help build their confidence.”

“The amount of female leadership at Nobel Systems is truly exceptional. From top management down to entry-level positions, our company empowers and supports women to succeed in any roles they wish to take on,” Senior Software Engineer Jabina Richards.

We are proud of our women at Nobel Systems who support each other — those who have been here for years and those who have recently joined us — as well as women everywhere who drive innovation with their unique perspectives and experience!
