Nobel Systems proudly participated in the Asian Development Bank Water and Urban Development Forum 2025 (AWUF 2025), held from May 27 to 30, 2025, at the ADB Headquarters in Manila. The event convened global thought leaders, policymakers, urban planners, and technology providers to exchange ideas and innovations focused on building resilient, sustainable water and urban systems across Asia and the Pacific.

With a long-standing commitment to digital transformation in utility management, Nobel Systems made a significant mark throughout the three-day forum. The company’s presence was capped by an exciting achievement—winning the “Most Engaging Booth” award at the forum’s Innovation Fair.

Showcasing Digital Solutions That Drive Impact

At the Innovation Fair, Nobel Systems unveiled its comprehensive suite of smart utility solutions, anchored by its proprietary platform, GeoViewer. The interactive booth experience invited attendees to explore real-world applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring, mobile field operations, and analytics tools used by utilities across the globe.

Demonstrations were designed to highlight how digital platforms like GeoViewer can improve operational visibility, enable proactive asset management, and empower data-driven decisions. With interactive screens, live dashboards, client story videos, and on-the-spot walkthroughs, the booth offered a hands-on glimpse into how Nobel Systems helps utilities achieve greater efficiency and transparency.

The display’s engaging design and informative content drew consistent attention and high foot traffic, ultimately earning Nobel Systems the Most Engaging Booth Award—a recognition of its ability to connect with visitors, present value clearly, and inspire conversation around innovation in utility services.

Nobel Systems’ Delegation at ADB AWUF 2025: A Team of Leaders and Innovators

The Nobel Systems delegation to AWUF 2025 was composed of a dynamic group of professionals who represented the company’s expertise, leadership, and collaborative spirit. In attendance were Michael Samuel (President and CEO), Dona Tajora (Vice President of Operations), Mady Miras (Business Development Executive), Lyn Fandino (Content Writer), and Saidafzal Abdusattorov (Consultant Engineer). Together, they actively participated in key discussions, booth engagements, and networking opportunities with global stakeholders from the public and private sectors.

As part of the event’s Innovation Marketplace, Vice President of Operations Dona Tajora delivered a presentation alongside other exhibitors, offering attendees a deeper understanding of Nobel Systems’ smart utility solutions and how they are being deployed across various regions. The session served as an additional platform to spotlight the company’s capabilities and ongoing contributions to water and urban infrastructure resilience.

Throughout the forum, the team facilitated live demos, responded to technical inquiries, and shared field-tested insights from Nobel Systems’ projects worldwide. Whether presenting on stage, guiding visitors through interactive displays, or engaging in breakout sessions, each team member played a key role in reinforcing the company’s mission to support smarter, more sustainable utility management. Their unified presence reflected Nobel Systems’ commitment to hands-on collaboration, regional partnerships, and customer-focused innovation.

Sharing Global Perspectives in Panel Discussions

As part of the official AWUF 2025 program, Nobel Systems’ CEO Michael Samuel participated in the panel session titled “Revolutionizing Water: Digital Innovations to Improve Performance and Efficiency of Water Companies.” The panel featured perspectives from Jahongir Khalikov, Deputy Head of the Project Development and Investments Department at Uzsuvtaminot (UST), and Martin Shaw, Business Development Manager at Xylem-Idrica. The session was moderated by Massimo Petrone, Principal Urban Development Specialist at ADB.

During the discussion, Michael Samuel shared insights on Nobel Systems’ work in Uzbekistan, where the company collaborates with UST to introduce GIS-based asset management and real-time monitoring tools aimed at enhancing network reliability and operational control. He outlined the benefits of the digital upgrade—such as increased efficiency, improved data transparency, and streamlined field-to-office coordination—while also addressing the challenges of change management and technical capacity building. His recommendations emphasized the importance of scalable design, stakeholder engagement, and sustained training to ensure long-term success.

The session attracted a full audience and led to active discussions on the future of digital water systems in developing and emerging economies.

Global Solutions on Display at the Innovation Fair

Beyond the panel, Nobel Systems used its Innovation Fair booth to showcase a range of core services that support digital transformation in utility operations. Rather than highlighting clients alone, the focus was on the capabilities and applications of its solutions across different environments.

The booth featured:

  • GIS Mapping and Asset Digitization: Helping utilities replace paper maps and outdated records with accurate, interactive digital maps.

  • IoT and Remote Monitoring: Using sensors to track pressure, tank levels, flow rates, and other key metrics in real time.

  • Work Order Management: Enabling field crews to receive, update, and close work orders instantly from mobile devices.

  • Cloud-Based CMMS Integration: Connecting maintenance operations to the cloud for seamless coordination between departments.

  • Customer Portal and Billing Integration: Providing digital tools to support transparent customer communication and utility billing.

  • Data Analytics and Reporting Dashboards: Delivering customizable dashboards that help utilities track performance indicators and generate regulatory reports.

These services were demonstrated with examples from active and completed projects in Central Asia, the Philippines, and the United States, illustrating Nobel Systems’ capacity to customize its solutions for different regulatory, geographical, and operational needs.

By offering a clear picture of how each module contributes to smarter, more efficient utilities, the booth positioned Nobel Systems as a forward-thinking, solutions-driven partner in the water and urban development space.

A Forum for Strategic Collaboration

Throughout AWUF 2025, the Nobel Systems team engaged in productive discussions with utility companies, municipal governments, development banks, and technology providers. The forum offered a collaborative space to explore new partnerships and align on shared priorities such as climate resilience, digital equity, and infrastructure modernization.

Nobel Systems’ presence affirmed its reputation as a trusted ally for utilities seeking scalable digital upgrades. By sharing field-tested knowledge and platform demonstrations, the team helped stakeholders visualize how data and technology can unlock greater performance and service delivery.

Michael Samuel noted that the forum’s energy and exchange of ideas further validated the company’s direction. “This event brought the right mix of vision, experience, and enthusiasm for innovation. Winning the award for Most Engaging Booth was a great honor—and a reflection of how much our team cares about helping utilities move forward.”

Commitment to Continued Progress

Nobel Systems’ participation in AWUF 2025 marked another milestone in its mission to drive positive, measurable change in the water and urban sectors. With a global footprint and a future-ready platform, the company remains committed to helping utilities make smarter decisions, optimize resources, and improve service outcomes through reliable digital tools.

As cities and utilities face mounting challenges—aging infrastructure, growing populations, and climate-driven pressures—Nobel Systems stands ready to provide the tools and expertise needed for lasting transformation.

Looking Ahead

Nobel Systems extends its sincere appreciation to the Asian Development Bank, event organizers, fellow exhibitors, and all who visited the booth during AWUF 2025. The award for Most Engaging Booth underscores the company’s commitment to innovation, partnership, and impact in the digital utility space.
