Nobel Systems Celebrates International Women in Engineering Day 2018

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) was founded by the Women’s Engineering Society in the U.K. on June 23, 2014, as a national event to celebrate the society’s 95th anniversary.

It was soon adopted by the global community in 2017 and has become a day that celebrates women in engineering and encourages girls to pursue their interests in an engineering career.

INWED has grown in popularity and recognition and received UNESCO patronage in 2016.

This year’s INWED theme is #RaisingTheBar.  The goal is to encourage all groups — governmental, educational, corporate, Professional Engineering Institutions, individuals and other organizations — to support the day and encourage girls and young women to pursue a career in engineering.

WES asks organizations to mention the words “engineering” and “girls” in the same sentence as often as possible to achieve this goal.

Nobel Systems foundation was built on the talents of women in engineering, including its Chief Technology Officer Aretha Samuel, software developersJabina Richard, Archana, Sri Lalitha, and its women’s tech team in India.
