Nobel Systems has released its newest version of its GIS GeoViewer Billing Module. The latest version includes a new customer interface that allows the client to operate the billing system from beginning to end without delays.
The module’s new interface presents all data and information on customers, zones, water usage and rates, balances and due dates, and more, in an easy-to-read display.

“Once a customer has been set up with the billing system and has imported all GIS data into the GeoViewer environment, they can run the system beginning to end themselves,” said Ian Ramos, Nobel Systems Senior Software Engineer.
To keep sensitive customer data safe, water utility managers can assign authorized users to manage account information, and restrict other users to non-sensitive data. GeoViewer’s Billing Module also provides additional security features utilizing Amazon Web Services to ensure that all data remains safe.
A to Z Water Service Billing Management
GeoViewer Billing users can create service requests directly from the module mobile app, in addition to customizing bills. Payments are recorded directly on the GeoViewer mobile app or via desktop. All information is saved and synced between the field and office in real time.
Other information that can be obtained via the billing module are meter readings for past months, newly created water bills, billing details, and water, septic and maintenance fees.
Account status and usage information can also be viewed. Usage anomalies are seen on a color-coded billing calendar, which includes meter readings. A user can also create a service request directly from the app, if necessary.
Simplified Water Billing Management
A unique aspect of GeoViewer Billing is that staggered payment requests can be made—an authorized user can create incremental bills for balance payoffs with auto generated sums based on the number of payments or time. Penalties are automatically calculated and applied. These requests can be generated under the Task section of the module.
Customer bills can also be generated into the task system to cross reference original and custom bills. When data is synced, billing amounts are updated.
Visual Reporting
Previously GeoViewer Billing provided generic reports. Now Nobel clients have the ability to categorize and filter reports based on service requests.
New report functionalities include details on aging of receivables, in-depth breakdowns on outstanding balances at any point of the year, as opposed to only a current bill.
Users can also view all monthly data on a visual GIS map, giving a GeoViewer Billing user a visual representation of accounts in various zones.
