The City of Barstow, California has selected GeoViewer, Nobel Systems’ cloud-based GIS/IoT asset management application, to streamline functionality for its field operations management, analysis, and reporting.
The asset management system that the city will use includes GeoViewer Online and Mobile.
GeoViewer’s smart-map technology will significantly improve the monitoring of Barstow’s GPS data collection, sewer line cleaning (with CCTV integration), grease interceptor (FOG) inspections, and its DigMark program.
The City of Barstow in San Bernardino County provides a population of more than 24,000 with wastewater management, sewer, and other services.
The real-time, cloud-based functionality of GeoViewer will enable city staff and field crew to submit and track work orders, manage equipment and labor information, and submit billing and reporting all from the desktop or mobile app. Real-time synchronization avoids costly delays and digital intelligence avoids lengthy paper-driven reporting and processes.
GeoViewer FOG
Nobel’s Fats Oils and Grease (FOG) GeoViewer module simplifies and streamlines the FOG inspection process. Inspectors can use the GeoViewer FOG module application on an iPad or iPhone to collect information such as clogged pipes, flow rates, sink/garbage clogs, and the status of grease traps and interceptors. Tickets and work orders are submitted directly from the inspection site. Read more about FOG here.
GeoViewer DigMark
The GeoViewer DigMark module extracts information from dig ticket providers and synchronizes the data so field users can view everything from a mobile device.
Synchronization enables users to alert colleagues that a dig ticket work order is in progress. Alerts are sent out when there are any changes in work order status. Learn more about DigMark here.
