City of South Gate Upgrades GIS-Based Operations with Business Intelligence Apps
Nobel Systems will provide an easy-to-use GIS-based work order system to the City of South Gate. The cloud solutions company will also provide the city with a service order system integrated with their Tyler billing system.

GeoViewer Work Order from Nobel Systems
The Work Order application will allow staff to identify, report, submit and address incidents as they happen in the field.
Office staff can also open a work order notifying field crews that are in a designated area to evaluate and update its status. Management can immediately view the status of work orders and prioritize them accordingly.
Nobel’s Management Business Intelligence (BI) widget provides key financial information on labor, equipment and material costs for each work order and an inventory of available assets. This data can be used for future forecasting of capital improvement programs.
Nobel’s GeoViewer™ Service Order system integrates with South Gate’s Tyler billing system and generates service requests such as meter turnons and turnoffs, meter re-reads, meter replacements, checks for leaks, and all other service order requests.
Nobel Updates Victor Valley Wastewater GIS System
Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority (VVWRA) contracted with Nobel Systems to update its wastewater GIS system.
Nobel will also provide its state-of-the-art GeoViewer™ to host the wastewater authority’s data.
VVWRA serves a 279 square mile area that includes Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville, Spring Valley Lake, and Oro Grande. Its plant and employees treat about 10.7 million gallons of wastewater every single day.
Wastewater comes from homes and businesses in Victorville, Apple Valley, Hesperia and parts of San Bernardino County including Spring Valley Lake. The wastewater that comes to the VVWRA plant goes through an extensive cleaning and purification process before being returned to the Mojave River.
Reclaimed sludge is also used to provide energy to a nearby power plant’s cooling tower. The solids are put into large anaerobic digesters, where the resulting methane gas is used to help power the plant.
VVWRA is currently able to produce about 73 percent of its energy needs with this process, with plans to become 100 percent energy neutral.
GeoViewer™ will help the authority locate critical facilities and pipelines.
Hi-Desert Water District to Use GeoViewer Mobile Work Order
The Hi-Desert Water District (HDWD) in Yucca Valley will use Nobel Systems’ GeoViewer Work Order system. The system will be used predominantly in the mobile environment using GeoViewer Mobile. With GeoViewer Mobile Work Order, HDWD will be able to:

See work order assignments and priority
Open a work order to review and/or update
Add images and additional notes for more information
Enter labor hours, costs, equipment and materials used for inventory and financial reporting
